RESULT.
While cutting a chamber prior to sinking a winze from tbe No. 3 level a run of stone, some 1? to 18 inches in thickness, was laid bare on Wednesday, in a direct tion west of the old workings, and as the stone shows a fair quantity of gold it is iutended to follow it up, and to prospect it cuefully: The appearances would lead to the conclusion that this is quite a new discovery, separated from the reef in the old workings.
