INKERMAN. The directors and a committee of shareholders met this evening at the company's office and accepted the offer of Mr J. F. Watson, the well-known broker of Dunedin, madf through a local broker, for placing 11,320 of the company's shares on the market at ss, and as the offer was guaranteed by a substantial deposit of 20 per cent on the total amount, the shares may virtually be considered sold. After the proper transfers have been made and entered up ;i meeting of shareholders will decide as to the mode of expenditure <af the proceeds in suitable machinery and plant for the company, to which this fund will be entirely devoted. Having regard to the large rody of stone which ha* oow been /ully proven to a depth of 271 /eef, no doubt can exist as to the profitable I nature of the venture, which only re quires a good plant to develop it to i's fullest extent.
