The contractors for constructing 50 feet of the uprise have now completed the specified distance, making the uprise 80 feet in all at the present. Ab a. very considerable distance yet remains before a connection can be established with the i upper workings, a further extension of the present work will probably be let by tender. A meeting of directors this evening will decide the matter.
