A letter was received from the Boatman's Jockey Club requesting. the postponement of the Reefton meeting to' the 20th and 21st March, and urging as a reason that the Boatman's Club were the first to initiate an autumn meeting during St. Patrick's holidays. Mr Beilby proposed, and Mr Barton seconded, that the letter be received. Proposed by Mr Barton, that the secretary acknowledge the receipt of the letter, and inform the Boatman's Club that owing to the programme being out for the Reefton meeting, this Club regret that they cannot acquiesce in altering dates already fixed, but that this Club guarantee their warmest support to the Boatman's Club in the event of their races being held on the 20th and 21st March, so as not to clash. "Proposed by Mr Ching, seconded by Mr Cochrane, that the resignation of M_r Smith, be accepted, and that Mr Stevenson be appointed treasurer. The following tenders for fencing and repairing course by filling in hollows were received : —
