GOLDEN FLEECE.
About 100 tons -having accumulated during the driving along the lode on the now lowest level, it was thought advisable to clear the paddocfcb, and a crushing was commenced with that view last Wednesday. As far as it has gone the plates look veiy well, and a good yield is anticipated. The crushing will be finished during the incoming week, and by that time it is expected that 150 tons will have been treated. The present level is now in 120 feet from the bottom of the winze, and 60 feet of that distance has been done along a well-defined good body of stone, at present 3 to 4 feet in thickness, of a very payable character. The novel method of ventilating this portion of the mine has answered admirably, and nothing in this direction can now be wished for.
