PACTOLUS.
Work here is now fairly started, and a few feet have been sunk on a spot not far distant from the small block of rich stone which was worked here years ago. A small vein of stone was taken as a guide for sinking. This now is becomingstronger, and some splendid specimens of quartz and gold have been broken out.
