INKERMAN.
The shaft which is being sunk from the No. 2 level is now down 160 feet, and the stone is looking better than ever. The sNp. 2 level is about 100 feet below the surface, so that the present depth now attained is 260 feet altogether. No definite decision has as yet been arrived at respecting what distance will be sunk before opening out, but as the stone 'seems to improve as it is followed down, it is likely tiiat the shaft will be continued for some time yet.
