All hands are now busily engaged preparing for crushing, The manager ig excavating a chamber at the bottom of the shaft, and has opened out with a good reef four feet wide to start upon, driving north and south as soon as the hoisting gear is complete. Cochrane and party, the contractors, are losing no time in getting timber for the erection of poppet heads, &c, and from present appearances they wilfrcomplete their contract within the specified time. The stone in the shaft is looking well, and some good specimens were brought to grass on Saturday.
