The Dublin car-man who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of being concerned in the assassination of Lord Covendish and Mr Bourke, has been released. His name is Moore, and it has been ascertained that he recently j arrived from America. It is stated, however, that several further arrests have siric§ tieen made. A reward of ■£l,ooo'Kag bedn- offered »tor the discovejcy of the murderers, and the police are sanguine of success. /The comments of the Press indicate that the appointment of G. O. Trevelyn haa met with general approval, J both in England and Ireland. It is announced that G. C. B. Hamilton, Accountant-General of the Admiralty, will succeed Bourke as Per- 1 manent Under-Secretary of Ireland. . 10. The funeral of the late Lord Cavendish, will take place to-m )rrow at Chatsworth, Derbyshire, the seat of the Duke of Devonshire, and the ceremony will be attended by a large number of distinguished persons, including the members of the Ministry, and many members of both Houses of Parliament 40. Sculling matches have been arranged i between Boyd and Laycock, and take place on the 3rd July, and between Largan and Pearce takes place on the Thames, on June 10. The marriage of Princess Helena Waldick Pymont, sister of the Queen of Holland, with Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, wus solemnised at Windsor Castle to-day.
