CRCESUS.

Friday, June 16. | The directors on Monday last accepted I the tender of John M'Neil for extension of No. 2 level 900 feet, at 26s 6d per foot i and for construction of race for air blast at a lump sum of £58 10s. The conditions of contract bind the contractor down very closely, and, if property acted up to, the work should be completed in a very short space of time. It has been decided to complete the eastern cross-cut by contract, the work being a portion of that just let in connection with No, 2. level extension, and is taken at 17s 6d per foot. In the eastern cross-cut, which has been driven about 15 feet, a run of quartz 5 or 6 inches in thickness, and running north and south, was met with yesterday, but nothing will probably be done to prove it untill the cross-cut is further extended.
