BALLARAT.
Two hands have lately been employed by this company trenching on the southern portion of the lease. The result of their labours is encouraging, various detached blocks of gold-bearing quartz having been met with. Operations will now be extended farther north, in the direction of the United Victory ground, and further developments will be anxiously awaited.
