IMPERIAL.
During the past week a steady improvement has taken place in" the mfne. The north level is now 148 ft. from the shaft, the reef being from 18in. to 2ft. in thickness. The drive from the rise has been driven into the shaft, and good ventilation is now obtained, the reef being from Ito 3ft., in thickness. The stone taken from the winze during the week shows gold freely, and the paddock is being rapidly tilled. Thu Just-in-Time battery and water-race are being repaired, and in about a fortnight it is expected will be ready for crushing.
