JUST-IN-TIME.
The contractors, Roberts and party, are making good headway with the main abaft, and during the past month made 47ft. , The ground so far lias been easy aitif'the water not troublesome. In the prospecting drive M'Kenzie and party have had hard country to go through in the cross-cut for the western reef, but have made 4!) ft. during the month. The present hard patch is supposed to be only a bar, similar to those met with in the upper levels of this portion of the mine.
