Patrick Brennan, for tho Champion Company, adjourned till next Court day. for production of papers. George Wise, for the Albion Company, tunnel. Barrowman, section Church -street, Reefton. Objected to by R. J. Scoltock, j who claimed prior occupancy. Mr Jones appeared for the objector. The Warden said that he had dealt al ready with the matter. Mr Jones said that certain facts had come to knowledge of the objector since the last hearing which would place a now complexion on the case. Mr Lynch, who appeared for the applicant, argued that it was not competent for the objector to again bring the matter on, the Court having already disposed of it. This was substantially the same application that was dealt with by the Court at the last sitting. Mr Jones contended that the question is res jii'licature did not ariso. This was an entirely new application, based upon fresh pegging, The Warden said the proper course appeared to him to be to bring an application for the cancellation of the present occupant's registration. He could not review his own decision. Application disallowed, without costs. Mr W. Hindmarsh, for the Globe Company. — Water race, 100 heads from thj Inangahua river. Objection by the Keep-it-Dark Company, on the ground of prior rights, that company holding registration for GO heads of water from the Inangahua river, and in their opinion the Globe application could not be granted without endangering their right. John McCaffrey applied fur the cancellation of the lease of the above company, Boatman's, on tho ground that they had not complied with the conditions of the lease. Mr Lynch raised a preliminary objec tion that the Lucky Hit Company wero not the le.sees, and the notice of action is required to be served on the lesees. Henry Evans was the original lessee. Vr Jones submitted then that the defendants were out of court. .'• fter some further argument it was arranged that the case should stand adjourned till next Court day. Evans in the meantime to receive notice of action — Adjourned accordingly. C LEDO W-jExTRND P. Georgo Wise applied on behalf of the Company for a special claim of 59 acres. The greater portion of the ground is already held by the company under two leases, and there in a third application. The value of the plant on the ground is £11,000. The upper levels have been worked as far aro known reefs a concerned. Are now working 123 ft below the level of Larry's river, and the ground ia wat and pumps constantly at work. None of the area could be worked advantageously in ordinary sized leases. The special claim is required to give tho company one title to the whole ground, and enable thorn to enter upon works for tjjo more profitable working of the mine. — Recommended. Tho Court then adjoijrned.
