REEFTON HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the Committee was held at the Southern Cross Bfetel, on Wednesday evening Ist November, 1882, at 9 o'clock p.m.
r-, Present : — Mr 0. Cohen (chair) Messrs §jhaw, Macquarrie, Oxley, Steel e, Beeche, Peterson and Thorburn.
minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The Surgeon-Superintendent's report was read and adopted.
A letter was received from Mr B. Rogers re reduction of maintenance account. Proposed by Mr Oxley, and seconded by Mr Macquarrie that the correspondence be received, carried.
Proposed by Mr Oxley, and seconded by V!r Shaw that Mr Roger's original account be reduced one half, carried.
The Treasurer's financial statement was read and received.
The Seci'etary reported, that horses "wandering about the streets were a great annoyance, not only destroying the newly made footpath, but disturbing the rest of the patients.
The following accounts were presented for Davment : —
Proposed by Mr Shaw, and seconded by Mr Oxley, that the accounts as read be prisso! 1 . for payment, carried. Visiting Committee. Messrs Oxley, Kater and Thorburn. The meeting then adjourned.
