Believing that the present system of education, if properly worked, is a boon to all classes of the community, 1 shall, if elected, spare no effort to prevent those bickerings which distinguished the proceedings of the retiring Committee, and render every assistance in my power to make the school efficient, so that no impediment may be placed in the way of the children obtaining a thoroughly good and sound education.
