(From our own Correspondent.) April 7th. Mining matters generally continue in a very depressed condition, and it will probably be a month or two before any decided revival can be looked for. The erection of the Lakey's Creek machinery is proceeding steadily, and another month or so should see the work well out of hand. The Globe works are also in full swing, and the shipment of the plant from Dunedin will be commenced at an early date. i The following are the battery returns for the past week : — Keep-it- Park. — 3440z5. of amalgam from 175 toma stone. Welcome. — 3070z5. of amalgam from 85 tons stone.
