WELCOME COMPANY.
A meeting of Dunedin shareholders in the Welcome Gold-mining Company was held at Watson's Hotel on Tuesday, for the purpose of discussing the present position of the mine, and the advisability of obtaining monthly reports, Ac. The meeting authorised, one of the local shareholders to apply for monthly statements of accounts, copy of minutes of directors' meetings, < and for a special report on the present workings; also of the progress made in placing the new machinery. The meeting further resolved to request
the directors to increase their number at next half-yearly meeting, to enable the Dunedin shareholders to be represented on the Board. The meeting adjourned until receipt of the special report from the directors*
