UNITED ALPINE.
The manager with several hands has, since the last monthly meeting of directors, been extending the surface level with the view of intersecting the body of stone~*ecently found on the surface near the fhHing-iu shaft. About 30ft have been already driven, and it is expected that the reef, should it live, will be struck about Monday. The country being pierced is stated to be of a solid but favourable character.
