The battery was only running for four and a-half days during the week, and gave a return of 70ozs. of amalgam. This parcel of stone was broken from the lower level. There seems to be no room to doubt that the one thing needed for this mine is adequate crushing power. With twenty or thirty head of stampers a fair margin of profit ought to be obtainable. The idea of a small battery with a big reef is an anomaly.
