He. moved that the Inspector make inquiries and report at theDecernher meeting of the Board. He saw that the separation of K jetton from • his district was approaching, and he should like to part friends, but still he • felt it necessary to guard the Board's funds. — Mr Clayden thought the Government ought to allow tl\e Board target funds when they had to provide ; buildings and so on in districts where everything was so expensive. — Mr , Shephard said that such expenditure ' was not really necessary, but t lie fact was that the Committees' did not feel ; their responsibility as they should do, or they might make then- funds g-i innch further.— Mr Shephard's i amendment was then carried. An application was received f rora the Black's Point Committee asking for a i vote of £80 for erecting a partition iv the schorl-room. — Postponed until the Inspector had visited the locality.
