GOLDEN TREASURE.

The new battery is now erected, and the contract out of hand. Some sight repairs are going on at the old battery, but ■ these will be finished either on Monday, or Tuesday next, when a trial run of the machinery will bo made. The erection of the plant has bean

carried out very faithfully, and the battery may now be classed amongst the best in the field. In the mine work is steadily proceeding. The drive from the main shaft is now approaching the line of the leef, and in a vei y short lime this splendid property will, have a permanent place among the producing mines of the district. INGLEWOOD EXTENDED. Very encouraging news was received daring the week from this mine, and for two or three days there was in consequence quite a refreshing flutter, shares advancing nearly a hundred per cent. Latterly the reef has widened out considerably, showing at the present time a splendid face of undoubtedly payable stone. The mine unquestionably shows better value than it has ever done before, and this taken in conjunction with the fact that the erection of the crushing plant is now approaching completion awakens interest in the undertaking. I venture to share in the general opinion, that this mine is one of the coming events of the field.
