INANGAHUA LOW LEVEL TUNNEL.
The half-yearly meeting of shareholders was held on Friday last, when the report and balance-sheebfor the past six months were read and adopted. The election of the new directory was next proceeded with /when the following candidates were nominated : — Messrs J. Kilgour, G. B. King, P. Q. Caples, W. G. Collings, J. Grieve, J. Trennery, W. J. Potts, G. Macquarie and J. B. Beeche, the first five being elected. Mr W. Hindmarsh was reelected auditor. The number of directors was reduced by resolution from seven to five. The contractors in the tunnel are making fair headway considering the nature of the ground, which still continues hard. The company's engineer visits the mine early in the ensuing week for the purpose of inspecting and reporting on the work.
