REEFTON HOSPITAL.
♦ A meeting of the Hospital Committee was held at the Southern Cross Hotel, un Wednesday evening last. Present : — Messrs Beeche (chair), Brennan, Bowman, Connolly, Callings, Lee, Patterson, Steele and Twohill. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Surgeon-Superintendent's report was read and adopted, and the Visiting Committees report received. The Secretary reported that Dr Thos. B. Whitton commenced his duties on the 9th November. Accounts to the amount of £78 13s 2d were presented for payment. Proposed by Mr Twohill, seconded by Mr Steele and carried, that the accounts as read be passed for payment. Proposed by Mr Steele, seconded by Mr Patterson and carried, that Messrs Twohill and Connolly represent the Hospital in the Carnival Committee. Proposed by Mr Connolly, seconded by Mr Patterson and carried, that Mr J. (2. Heslop bo appointed collector for the remainder of the financial year, on the terms agreed upon, and that Me*sr3 Brennan. Patterson and the Secretary draw up the necessary agreement. The Visiting Committee appointed were Messrs Beeche, Bowman, and Brennan. The meeting then adjourned.
