REEFTON HOSPITAL.

The monthly meeting of the Committee was held on Wednesday, January 7th, 1885. Present :'— Messrs Connolly ( chair ), Brennan, Bi-wman, '.yraig, Cohen, Lee, Patterson and Twohill. The minutes ef the previous meetiug were read and oon firmed. The S'u-genn-Superintendent'B report vas read and adopted. The Viaititit- Committee reported finding everything satisfactory on their ' visits. Tho Secretary reported that the net balance after payment of all expenses of I the late carnival "wa» £'35 13b Bd, which I had beeu placed to the credit of the institution.

The Secretary also reported Dr Grabhatn's inspection of the hospital, and his recom oiendati. m that the Committee should end«aviur to provide a new centre building, to contain dispensary, consulting ro» in, and quarters for resident staff, also bath room and lavatory, and recommended that application be made to the Colonial Secretary for a grant towards cost of the same. Treasurer's cash balance £157 12s sd. Accounts to the amount of £125 18s 3d were presented for payment. Proposed by Mr Bowman, seconded by Mr Twohill, and carried.
