BOATMAN'S CARNIVAL.

The animal pedestrian sports in connection with the Boatman's Carnival Committee, was held on the School Reserve yesterday. A capital course had lwe.n marked oat round the school building, the running ground being marked by flag pests placed at convenient distance?. The attendance during the day reached to five or six hundred, and pi'eseiited a. very pivtty spectacle. A refreshment booth was erected on the ground and was well patronised. The Black's Point Band had been engaged, and tbe intervals between the" different events were pleasantly .tilled up l>y dancing in the school building. The dancing formed a prominent festuje in the festivities of the day.
