REFORM.
The mine manager reports the distance driven to date to be 128 ft. During the last few days progress has been rather slow in consequence t>f the toughness of the ground. This drive is to connect the winze with the Just in Time main shaft. The winze in question was carried down on the reef by the old Imperial Company, and it will be remembered that some remarkably good fctone was met with during the big spurt As soon as this connection is established therefore, breaking dowu stone can be commenced.
