UNITED ALPINE.
The result ot the cleaning up for the United Alpine was 683<>z* sdwts, of retorted gold, from 747 tons of quartz reduced. The gold was despatched in charge of Mr K. W. Jenkins, Bank of New South Wales representative, on Wednesday last. The battery returns for the present week from plates, partial scraping, was -1j20z3 of amalgam,
from 200 tons of stone treated. There is no alteration to report this week in the workings, with the exception that in the extension of the No. 6 I level, at the point now reached, the country is showing a more promising appearance and several small leaders i are coining into the face.
