VENUS EXTENDED.
The temporary wire ropn used on the aerial tramway is beginning to give some trouble, and many delays are cansed by the frequent necessity for repairs. It is hardly likply that the rope will hold together mnch longer, !>ut fortunately enough the new ropp is exppctH to be on l>oard the steamer Coptic which was reported at Hot>art the other day.
