Wednesday Marc:i 9, IS3I. The usual meeting of thj Board was held at Otaki ou the abovo date, at 9 a.m. Present — Messrs Sin-cox (Chairman), Kebbell, Davies, and M'Crae. Tne ouiy business transacted was the consideration of two objections to the valuation roll, but it was decided to leave the nutter to th« Assessment Court. Tne Bjard then adjourned till 2 p.m., when the same Wardens met again. CORRESrON DENCB. A letter w.-ia re vi from F. Bright, giving notice that he had purchased that parcel of Uud nam-d Waireuga No. I on the B ard's imp of road, containing 7a. 3r. 24;.., ant giving notice that ho intended to claim compensation for any portion of said land that might be taketi for the purposes of a public road ; also requesting the B>ard to fence i the frontage portion to the said road. The following resolution was carried : — " Ttiat the consideration of Mr Bright':letter be deferred until the laud is actually taken over." the new office. The Committee appointed toenquire into the matter of offi.e accommodation reported that they had been unsuccessful iv obtaining a suitable room for the Board's office, aud suggested that the B>ard should erect a room 12ft x 16ft on runners, the building to be placed iv the coruer of the school paddock. The report of the committee was adopted, and ifc was decided to call for tenders for the material and for the labor. Teuders to close ou the 16th iust., aud to be opened by the committee. ROAD FORMATION. Mr M'Crae brought under the notice of tho Board the desirability of calling fn [ tenders for formation of road lately acquired under the Public Works Act. After some • liscussiou, it was resolved to call for tenders for the formation and metalling o' ibout 30 chains (more or less) of the said road. ACCOUNTS. The following accounts were passed : — J A. Knocks, valuation roll, £10; Government Printer, for gazetting notice re road, £1 7s. next meeting. The next meeting of the Board was ordered to be held on the 13th April, at 9 a.m.
