The Rotomahana Casualty.
THE OFFICIAL ENQUIRY, (Br Telegraph.) (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, August 9. The Rotomahana enquiry commenced this morning before Messrs Carew, Thompson and Scott, assessors. Capt. (Jarey m his evidence said be could only account for the mishap by 'there being some unusually strong current. In his opinion thh accident was due to the vessfl being set out of her coarse by the current. There was no reason to believe tlafc the t chart was incorrect, although it is said there are rocks outside those shown on the chart.
