Meat Freezing.
A new meat company m being formed m Wellington with a view to amalgamating the businesses of Messrs Woods, Crosbie, and Co, and Messrs J . and H. Barber. Messrs Johnston Bros, and several of the leading Rangitikei settlers are, we understand, taking an active interest m the floating of this company, which is said to have been brought about by proposed overtures from the Gear Company for the purchase of the business of the firms concerned. v Monopoly would not have been desirable, and it is as well that the new company should have beea called into existence, as there is sufficient business for the two, and both should receive a large share of support. -
