(WaDganui Chronicle) The crops up the coast are fully realising the expectations formed of them, io view of the recent agreeable change m the weather, tbejrnin which fell so heavily on Saturday last having effected little damage. In the "Waverly district, harvesting is m full swing, some of the farmers hay» ing already completed the threshing &c. The ruling price for wheat there is from 3s 9d to 4s 6d a bushel, an average of 4s being obtained. One of the finest samples iv that of Messrs Ho-vie Bros., of Strathmore, t he. wheat being of very superior quality.
