A Nice Youth.
[Post's Auckland Correspondent.] > The following scandal has gained currency here : — Some time ago an Auckland lad of good connections proceeded South with, the object of entering upon business life, and has since filled an appointment m a Wellington ironmongery establishment. Possessing a taste for female society, he cultivated it by developing an attachment for his employer's domestic servant. Suspioious facts came to light m connection with the amour, and it is said that m order to prevent scandal our hero was induced to marry the girl. Time passed and a child was born. The restless Lothario, however, sighed far the achievement of new conquests, and his attractions of person and address were used to such good purpose that he won the affections of his wife's sister. The story runs that he induced her to elope with him to Auckland, and that he is now about to realise upon £6000 worth of property m Auckland, of which he is the owner.
