THE signals in case of fire are given in the following manner :— Toll the bell rapidly, then pause in ringing for a few seconds. Make 1, 2, 3, or 4 single strokes, indicating the number of the Ward in which the fire is. Pause again for a few seconds, and afterwards ring the bell again ; and so alternately. The meeting places for the Brigade, in case of false alarm, are as under:— No. 1 Ward—The State School. No. 2 Ward—Richter, Nannestad, & Co.'s Saw Mill. No. 3 Ward — Gillett Bros. , Buildings in the Square. No. 4 Ward—Old Palmerston Hotel.
