The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports having sold to-day 204,000 ft of kauri timber nt an average price for hewn logs at 4s 6d per 100 ft super. The following quotations ruled at to-day's sale : — Sawn flitches, 14s 9d ; sawn boards, lin, 15s Gd ; ditto, l£in to 3in, 15s 9d. These were for inferior qualities. Dressed boards realised, for £iv, 22s per 100 f t; T. and G flooring, 6in x l£in, 9s 9d lineal ; 4in x l£in, 7s lOd. Sawn pickets, 1000, 265. A fi«-m and active demand was experienced. \
