Melbourne, Dec, 2. \ The Melbourne Manager of the.Nal tional Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports of the local markets as follows:— Wheat is quiet at 3s lOd to 3s lid ; malting barley, 4s to 4s 6d. The market is duty and drooping. New Zealand oatg-j-Feeding sorts are steady, but not m a<> tive demand, at 3s 6<i to 3s 8d ; milling ditto, 3s 9d to 3s lOd. The market is' pressed, ibut not much doing. NewZealand oats, under bond, are slow of sale at 2s lid to 3s Id. There is better demand for kauri timber. ;1 • !
