SKIRMISHING WITH THE ENEMY.
London, October 15./
A detachment of tho West Kent Regiment surprised a Boer laager at Frankfort, killing seven, wounding nine ''and captured eighteen of the enemy. . Tlie Boors aro extremely active in the Lindly district, in the north-east of Orange River Colony. A party, disguised in khaki, killed two officers who were out scouting. News has been received that during a skirmish near Mafeking two Now South Wales Bushmen and four Boers wore killed.
Privates MacKellar, O'Boliene and Fehey,New South Wales Bushmen, havo died of wounds. ,
Three Tasmanian Bustmien hayebeen wounded at Beitfoutein.
