Edward Morris, a farmer at Mickey Town, died suddenly this morning. Ho burst a blood vessel when dressing. Ho leaves a wife and a young family of six.

At the inquest ou tho remains of John Jolland, found on the beach near Kai* warra, a verdict was returned of accidental death. No evidence was forthcoming as to how deceased managed. to get into the water, but it is surmised ho fell off the train at high water.

Auckland, October 15

-Tho adjourned inquest touching the death of the old man John Harris, found dead m his room, was resumed ta-day. Di s Black certified that he had found in the stomach strychnine in a quantity sufficient to causo death. Tho jury found that the cause of death was strychnine, self-administered while temporarily insane by excessive drinking. A rider was added that a public morgue bo provided as an imperative necessity without delay.
