HAWKE CUP MATCH. WANGANUI’sToOR STAND. ALL OUT FOR 63. ' (Per Press- Association.) WANGANUI, Dec. 4. Play in the Hawke Cup match, Wanganui versus Taranaki, was continued this morning in fine weather, but with a strong cross wind blowing. AVanga,nui made a poor stand, being all out for 63, Orr 13, Bernau 21, Treadwell 10 being the only ones to score. Clarke took six wickets for 17. Taranaki commenced batting, and at the luncheon adjournment the score was as follows: TARANAKI.—Second Innings. Naismith, not out 34 Grayson, c Wood b Holland 17 Lay, b Bernau 1 Kingston, run out 6 Croinbio, b Holland 0 Battrell, not out 15 Extras 6 Total for four wickets 79 Taranaki in the first innings made 188. TOUR OF ARGENTINA. SMALL BALL TO BE USED. Received December 4, 11.40 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 3. P. F. AVarner, who is embarking with the Marylebone team for Argentina, announced that the small-sized ball would be used throughout the tour. He revealed that there was a stock of these made, through inadvertence, before it was permissible to use them.— A. and N.Z. cable.
