AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE LEAGUE.

SUCCESSFUL MEETING AT WELLINGTON. Mr J. A. Nash, M.P., as president of the Agricultural College League, addressed a meeting at the City Council Chambers, Wellington, yesterday, on behalf of the league. The meeting was well attended by leading business men of Wellington. Mr Nash explained the objects of the league and the necessity for the North Island working together, so that the establishment of a college in the North Island would become an accomplished fact. ’ His Worship the Mayor of Wellington and others stressed the necessity for doing all in their power to assist the league in its efforts and a resolution was carried unanimously that a branch of the league be formed in Wellington, Colonel Mitchell being appointed convener. Mr Nash was thanked for visiting AVellington and addressing the meeting.
