NORTHCLIFFE WILL CASE.

LATE EDITOR’S EVIDENCE. LONDON, Dec. 3. In the Northcliffe will case Thomas Marlowe, late editor of the Daily Mail, cross-examined, said he understood that Sir Malcolm Fraser (formerly chief agent of the Conservative Party) was in touch with the people who could find the money if shares in the newspapers could be purchased. He did not understand it was a question of the purchase with Conservative Party funds. The case was adjourned again.—A. and N.Z. cable. Before the Chancey Division Louise Owen, who was the late Lord Northcliffe’s confidential secretary and a beneficiary under his will, claimed that the sale of newspaper properties by Sir George Sutton to Lord Rotliermere on September 2U, 1922, for £1,643,000, should be declared void.
