MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
MAN SENT TO HOSPITAL.
Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, Dec. 6. A motor accident occurred late last night on the Picton-Grovetown road. A car driven by K. Patchett crashed into a post, tho driver being dazzled by the lights of an oncoming car. W. Satherley was injured in the back and neck by glass from the shattered windscreen and was sent to hospital where an operation was found to be necessary. ■The other occupants escaped with a shaking. MISHAP NEAR TAURANGA. VERDICT AT TPIE INQUEST. TAURANGA, Dec. 6. At the inquest held this morning into the death of John Odium, who was killed in a motor accident on Saturday, Doctor McDiarmid deposed that deceased suffered a multiple fracture of sire ribs on the left side and four on the right side. A verdict that deceased was accidentally killed in a motor accident was returned.
The condition of Mrs Odium is still serious.
