VALERIAN’S SURVIVORS.
BRAVE STOKER PRAISED. LONDON, Dec. 5. Survivors of the British sloop of war Valerian,, which was lost during the hurricane at the Bermudas, have arrived in London. The men particularly praise one of the stokers, who swam with a lifebelt to the raft, saying that he was “out visiting,” and cheered up the men, who were in an exhausted condition after 21 hours in the sea.— A. and N.Z. cable.
