WEST END SCHOLARS.

PANTOMIME TO BE PRODUCED.

“Dick Whittington and his Cat” is the pantomime story for production at the West End School to-morrow and Friday evenings. For some time past Mrs J. Oswald Telford has beon training over 50 talented boys and girls in songs, ballets and amusing business, so there is no possible shadow of doubt but that the favourite story of Dick and his life-long friend the oat; which still has a certain appeal for grownups, will receive an original and inter-est-sustaining interpretation. Dick, who will be Miss Milly Penketh, will leave his simple Englisii country home in the story-book style and dally awhile in a gipsy encampment. From there he journeys to London with his wideawake, intelligent animal lieutenant (Master Billie Herron) and later they take a voyage to Morocco and interview the Emperor and the dark-eyed Princess. Later, after many adventures, Dick • and his cat return to Londop, the Bow Bells fulfilling their prophecy when Dick is elected Lord Mayor. There are to be many bright musical numbers this year, including the wellknown “Picador.” “A Hundred Years from Now,” and “Broadcasting,” and beautifully-dressed and arranged ballets, which include the novel “Dance of the Rats” and “The Egyptian Mummies.” Buses are to leave the Square at convenient times on both evenings.
