REFORMATIVE DETENTION ORDERED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 7. In the Supreme Court Eric George Barlow was ordered reformative detention for three years on a charge of assaulting Alexander Stewart and causing bodily harm. The case had an unusual feature in that no one knew what weapon the accused used nor would he admit what it was. was. Counsel for the Crown, Mr Adams, said that accused had been in a mental hospital and was released 14 months ago. In sentencing accused Sir William Sim said it seemed to be a mental case.
