TRADES UNIONS.
BRITISH LEGISLATION. GENERAL STRIKE ILLEGAL. LONDON, Dec. 7. Cabinet to-day will consider the final draft of a bill dealing with trades unions. It is expected that a general strike will be made illegal, a political levy will be made more a matter of option, and picketing will exclude house-to-house visits and mass picketing.—A. and N.Z. cable.
