GYROSCOPIC INDICATOR.
AID TO NIGHT FLYING. ADOPTION BY~AIR MINISTRY. Received December 9, 9.25 a.m. LONDON, Doc. 8. The Air Ministry adopted the Schi-lovsky-Cooke gyroscopic indicator, enabling pilots to fly in a fog at night. The instrument is four inches in diameter, is rotated electrically and registers the smallest deviation from a straight line.—A. and N.Z. cable.
