The end of .the year always brings a plethora of concerts, but a school concert Das a froshnesa of appeal that always draws. Among the school concerts looked for yearly is .that of the Central School, and this year’s programme promises to eclipse that of former years. The performance) will take the form of an extravaganza entitled “Gloriana’s Festival” and has for its pentral motif the) idea of a 'league of youth of all the wprld seeking peace. The extravaganza gives ample scope to introduce all thoso ideas for which this school concert has become well-known. Among tho numbers will bo found a suite of graceful dances symbolic of tho seasons and the various countries participating. The choruses will bo now, whilo tho humorous element will be well catered for by “Tho organ grinder,’’ the Spanish bull fight and several other novelties. Almost half tho roll number of the 'school is taking part from the infant department which contributes a series of ourhythmio exercises to the top class. A most efficient orchestra is assisting. The box plan opens at tho Opera House on Friday morning and tho concert takes place on Monday.
