CLYDESDALE HORSE SOCIETY.
MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.
A meeting of the Council of .the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand was held in Auckland. There were present: Air W. G. Park, president (in the chair), Messrs J. AV. Harding, R. D. Knight, James Knight and A. Hunter. Apologies for.. absence were received from Messrs H. Gascoyne, J. H. Alitchell, E. A. Washer, J. D. AVyllie, R. Lockhead, R. Kennedy, D. G. Wright, J. A. Johnstone, Simon Fleming and Dr Reakes. . Before commencing the business the president referred to the loss to the society sustained by the removal by death of Alessrs E. E. Jenkins and J. C. N. Grigg, and moved a vote, of condolence to the relatives. This was carried in silence, the members standing. It was reported that import certificates had been received for the following four stallions and three mares: Deside (21,207*) on behalf of Air Andrew Grant, Fairlie; Cowden Pearl (21,193*) on behalf of Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd.; Prince Fergus (21,238*) on behalf of Air Ben Ferguson, Rangiora; Brunstane Duplicate (21,185*), Yett Alonette (56,306*), Lady Lawson (56,308*) and Craigie Baroness (56,305*) on behalf of Mr John Young, Ochtertyre. Export certificates had been issued to Alessrs Alitchell and O’Brien for 15 stallions and colts as follow: Bonnie Alark (1276), Brilliant Bold (1522), Bold Success (1761), Brilliant Day (1769), Brilliant Morn (1770), Windermere Sensation 1895), Admiral Fyvie (2031), Alexander Fabric (2032), Ashton Stamp (2033), Burnside Baron (2034), Ebony Stamp (2035), Granvalier Stamp (2036), Kenwyn Baron (2037), Lord Huntley (2038) and Waikaura ((2039).

It was unanimously resolved that a letter bo written to the Alinister of Agriculture, asking him to use every endeavour to have tho Stallions Bill put on the statutes during tho next session.
Accounts and investments totalling £I2OO 8s 4d were passed.
